TRANSITIONS

In late summer of 2006 I moved my studio from McKee to Palmer Street. A good friend and amazing designer/sculptor, John Knott, afforded me some space in his warehouse for a couple of commissioned projects. During that time I painted several pieces that were both different from what I had been doing and from each other. These experiments with form, color application and pallet have influenced all of my work since. What I enjoyed about this one was the drafted and more monochromatic lower portion merging with the upper bands and shapes.
As yet I have not returned to this particular scheme, though I have plans for a series along these lines in the future. This piece was sold last year after it's exhibition at Mind Puddles Gallery
